Flavour pairing: Big blend character in a glass holds its own with tasty goats’ cheese toastie

A cracking ode to Syrah with an aromatic lift from Carignan. It’s dark & inky in the glass, oozing blackberry & plum fruit, but give it a moment and secondary peppery / leather notes bring a refreshing astringency. Aged 6 months in barrels on fine lees, followed by 4-months in bottle. ABV: 13%.
