If ever we are umming and arring on what white wine to drink, we open Matassa Blanc. There are few life moments when indecision races to great decision. Another blend of Catalan ancients, this time Grenache Gris and Macabeu. The character of both grapes can thank the 80-year-old vines, struggling for fruitful life in schist – this hard fractured soil forces the roots to push deep for nourishment. The struggle shapes a distinct mineral character; it’s taut and crackling with energy, cut loose in your glass. ABV: 11%.
